Hilos Cruzados un proyecto de carácter bienal con el que el Museo Casa Botines Gaudí pretende abrir sus puertas a la creación contemporánea.

El proyecto consiste en la intervención, por el medio que escoja el artista, en varios espacios originales y no expositivos de la Casa Botines, como las escaleras y los patios de vecinos. Espacios diseñados en 1891 por Antonio Gaudí y que han conservado su distribución, diseño y materiales originales.

Con ello, se busca fomentar el diálogo de la arquitectura de Gaudí con la creación artística contemporánea, fomentando nuevas lecturas y visiones que enriquezcan el discurso del Museo y la interpretación de la obra gaudiniana.

Se invita al artista a reflexionar sobre la arquitectura de Gaudí y sus valores plásticos, estéticos y espirituales; y sobre su influencia en la actualidad. Las intervenciones deben tener alguna relación con Gaudí y con la Casa Botines: sus valores plásticos, simbólicos o arquitectónicos; su historia, usos y habitantes; o algún aspecto de su tiempo que resulte de interés para el artista.

Las propuestas pueden remitirse al correo electrónico exposiciones@fundos.es hasta el 2 de mayo de 2025, y serán valoradas por un jurado especializado.

Crossed Threads is a biennial project with which the Casa Botines Gaudí Museum aims to open its doors to contemporary creation.

The project consists of an intervention, by the means chosen by the artist, in several original, non-exhibition spaces of the Casa Botines, such as the staircases and the patios. These spaces were designed in 1891 by Antonio Gaudí and have retained their original layout, design, and materials.

The aim is to encourage dialogue between Gaudí’s architecture and contemporary artistic creation, promoting new readings and visions that enrich the Museum’s discourse and the interpretation of Gaudí’s work.

The artist is invited to reflect on Gaudí’s architecture and its evocative, aesthetic, and spiritual values, and on its influence on the present day. The interventions must have some relation to Gaudí and the Casa Botines: its evocative, symbolic, or architectural values; its history, purposes, and inhabitants; or some aspect of its time that is of interest to the artist.

Projects can be sent to exposiciones@fundos.es until 2^nd May 2025, and thy will be judged by a Jury.
